april.

my oh my it's been such a busy month! i feel like we've been living out of our car for the past month or so. we've traveled to arkansas, tennessee, southern kentucky, indiana, ohio...all in the past three weeks or so! last week we got to see shane & shane and john mark mcmillan...i got to talk to bethany dillon too, which was pretty awesome. she's pregnant also which is pretty cool.

the past couple days i've been dwelling on these verses:

"Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.."
hebrews 1:1-3

...He is the radiance of the glory of God....woah. to me, these verses just show that the Lord really is in control of all things...all things...everything. i have heard so much...and i mean SO much on politics, our president, health reforms, natural disasters, our moral weakness in america, more politics, tea parties, etc. it's a little overwhelming. yet at the same time i just want to say "stop!" do we not believe that our God is sovereign? that He is in control? just like the verse says "He has appointed all things" ...everything? yes, everything. that doesn't mean that we shouldn't care about morals, about politics, etc....i just think that to obsess and try to control things is just not in our reach. the sovereign God knows what is going on and it is in Him that we put our trust. what a beautiful thing that is!

ok. i'm glad i got that out. i've got so much more to write and update but i'm at work so it'd be better that i wait :)

Sounds like a nice set of travels for you and Jay! And so glad you got to see the Shanes. I love going to their shows because I always leave with a full heart after a great worship experience. :) And so glad you got to see Beth, too! (Her baby bump is the cutest! ^_^)

Looking forward to more posts from you, lovely.
